Pulau Pinang, Aku Jatuh CINTA (Siri 5 - Padang Kota Lama)

RESTOREN KAPITAN!

arghh, its dinner time and we are STARVING!! BilBil recommend us to taste the Original Kayu's Nasi Kandar. driving his rangeRover, we are heading to the origin restaurant of D'Kayu (correct me if i'm wrong). about 30 minutes from our 'nest' in Love Lane, we find ourselves queuing for our Nasi Kandaq. goshh, its quite a long queue though but it WORTH a wait!! slrupp..

NEXT, 'Pesta Pulau Pinang' or Penang Fest. annual event here in Penang for a month long. yea, we are heading there!! its my 1st experience to visit this fest. organize by the local authority, i cant believe that we have to pay RM5/pax to enter the fest area. i thought its like JomHeboh fest but BilBil honor our visit by sponsor us for the tickets. thanks bro!! there's a lot of booth, shops, retailer etc there but nothing excite us. all of the sudden, we hear a scream! yeah, a fun fair! and not like any other lame fun fair there is sunwayLagoon or even gentingThemePark materials here and to be exact, ADRENALINE JUNKIES PARK!!

at a main stage a HOT girl entertain us with her stick, stunt & smile. enough to brighten our night ;p hu2..

what i can say about this fest is STUNNING, SHOCKING, ENTERTAINING, ENJOYING, ..ING, ..ING

its 11 o'clock already and BilBil continue guiding us to our 'night life' in Penang. he drive us to Gurney Drive. its a popular hang-out spot by the beach other than Padang Kota Lama. as we park the car, i bump into a semi-pro unofficial photo-shooting by a local artiste (i guess).

we are heading to the Anjung Gurney food-court looking for so called Penang's Passemboq and Penang's Laksa. honestly, its not the best place to get this menu here (not the famous maker).

Pulau Pinang, Aku Jatuh CINTA (Siri 3 - Lorong Cinta)

selepas ditegur beberapa sahabat tentang penggunaan bahasa 'lidah ibu' (mother tongue), kita kongsi entri kali ini dalam Bahasa Melayu pula eaa =)

BilBil (panggilan manja Nabil) membawa kami menyusuri lorong-lorong kusam dek menunaikan hasrat AizatAwadz menggeledah sisa-sisa 'sejarah bewarna' pada dinding-dinding BisuTuliButa Lebuh Chulia.

backpacking to Pulau REDANG Island (Part 2)

cruising a ferry with open deck is quit a relieving for me. im spending most of my time fascinating myself with a scenery of wide blue sea while a salt smelly wind pampering my face. most of the passenger having time of their life while taking a pictures as an evident of their experience.

the ferry will go through Pulau BIDONG Island which is under Terengganu Malaysia University supervision. they are making a research about marine life & also make their own artificial coral around the island's snorkeling & diving site. they even build a HUGE replica 'Tengkolok' (a Malay traditional head cover) at one of the island's diving site. obviously this island is famous with its history of Vietnamese Refugee Camp back then in late 70's.

after about 2 hours winding myself, we arrive at Pulau REDANG Island main jetty. actually, its a REDANG fishermen jetty. even though its a very appropriate jetty as the Berjaya's customer will drop here while other customer will continue their travel with their resort's speedboat (another 15 minutes boat ride).

my REDANG's friend already await me at the jetty. i know him while im diving at Semporna's Islands back then in monsoon season (october to february). ladies & gentlemen, fasten your seatbelt as now my cross culture & underwater experience BEGIN!!

backpacking to Pulau REDANG Island (Part 1)

bore with Kuala Lumpur (KL) traffic & hectic, i decided to backpack to the one of the MOST popular island in Malaysia, Pulau REDANG Island. a full reward for myself after a month stressing in 'my life box' for living.

im taking a night bus (recommended) from Putra Terminal, Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu Terminal, Terengganu. why a night bus?? its because i can save my 8 hours boring journey with sleeping while covering my accommodation for 1 night ;p he2.. there is several choice of bus (air-conditioned) with price of RM40-RM45 per journey.

not much to tell about the journey as im focusing on the Avatar movies before i got asleep. there is no toilet in a bus but u can answer your 'nature call' at the pit stop at Chendor R&R after 4 hours ride. fair enough, aite ;p

about 5am, the bus arrived at Kuala Terengganu Terminal. i starving! obviously there is a lot of 'Nasi Lemak' Terengganu style at the terminal. if you are not into that, there is McDon at the terminal too.

after having my late supper, im asking the direction of Syahbandar Ferry Terminal from the locals. it just 5 minutes walk from the terminal (no need to take a cab). 6am.. its a Subuh prayer time. walking in the same direction to ferry terminal, i drop by at Sultan Zainal Abidin Mosque (White Mosque) to do my obligation to my Creator, Allah =) i take a bath & rest at the mosque before the sun rises.

its a beautiful feeling while having my 'sunrise bath' at Syahbandar seaside. breathtaking & absolutely PRICELESS!!

by the ferry terminal is Pasar PAYANG Market which sell a lot of items from locals souvenir to a convenience daily items. obviously the market is seperate to wet & dry market. im having my breakfast here. Nasi Dagang & Nasi Minyak is my interest. gladly they serve it here for the breakfast.

there is a lot of time before my ferry call (10am), so i decide to go for sightseeing to Istana MAZIAH Castle & Bukit PUTERI Hill (walking distance).

after pay my RM100 (return) ferry tickets & RM5 conservation fee, im leaving the land toward Pulau REDANG Island with Sejahtera ferry.
